It’s as if we’ve forgotten the nightmarish foreign policy blunders of the first George W. Bush term. Mitt Romney seems to adore the John Bolton policy of preemptive attack, non-compromise and the general pissing off of the rest of the world, except for Israel. He stated in a March Washington Post op ed, ‘I will demonstrate our commitment to the world by making Jerusalem the destination of my first foreign trip.’ This is just one of the components of Mitt’s regressive foreign policies
He continues, ‘My plan includes restoring the regular presence of aircraft carrier groups in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf region simultaneously. It also includes increasing military assistance to Israel and improved coordination with all of our allies in the area.’ Such a war hawk. A man that decided to forgo his Vietnam tour to go on his Mormon “mission” to help the people of France learn how to feed and house themselves…uh…wait? France? A nation that enjoys a higher life expectancy than the USA? What’s your mission? Ahhhh, to spread your RELIGION. That’s really what we’re talking about, aren’t we Willard? You’re not actually helping people, just getting more converts.
The LDS Church is the fastest growing religion in the U.S. If you listened to Glen Beck, longer than the twenty seconds I can stomach this Mormon convert, you’d hear the LDS catchphrase: the Constitution would one day hang by a thread, only to be saved by Mormons. He loves to say this. He often repeats a direct quote from charlatan and pedophile Joseph Smith, the author of the Book of Mormon. Smith claimed, after burning down a printing press before his 1844 Presidential run, he’d be the savior of the Constitution and ride in on a white horse to the White House. Pretty white, huh?
Brigham Young, Smith’s successor and prophet said in 1855, “When the Constitution of the United States hangs, as it were, upon a single thread, they will have to call for the ‘Mormon’ Elders to save it from utter destruction; and they will step forth and do it.” Frightfully familiar. Even Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah mentioned this “threat” in this 2010 piece. Apparently only the Mormons can save the Constitution from this dreadful Negro in the White House. After all, he bares the Mark of Cain.
Mormons are, first and foremost, beholden to their religion and perhaps next, their country. It is not off-limits to ask these questions about Mormons. The religion is so secretive, we are not allowed in the temple unless we accept Joseph Smith’s words as gospel. How else are we going to know what’s in this man’s heart? How else will we know what he plans for his America? Let’s hope we never see the day where Mitt will fulfill his prophesy and ride a white horse to his inauguration while singing, “Onward Christian Warrior”.
